In 1974, Supertramp released Crime of the Century, which proved to be a commercial success, spawning hits like "Dreamer" and "Bloody Well Right." The band's following album, 1975's Crisis? What Crisis?, did not achieve the same level of commercial success, but they bounced back in 1977 with Even in the Quietest Moments, which featured the hit "Give a Little Bit."
The pinnacle of Supertramp's career arrived with the 1979 release of Breakfast in America. This iconic album produced hit singles such as "Goodbye Stranger," "Take the Long Way Home," and "The Logical Song." It topped the Billboard charts, sold over 4 million copies in the United States, and achieved Platinum status in multiple countries.
