Technological advancements in digital cinematography have transformed the way films are made and viewed today. Early digital cameras had low dynamic range, causing images to appear flat and uninspiring, leading to the phenomenon known as "the video look." However, as technology evolved, cameras could capture a wider dynamic range, allowing filmmakers to illuminate their scenes more dramatically. Despite these advances, some argue that merely possessing the capability to capture brighter and more detailed images doesn't translate into artistic success.
