Part 3/6:
A pivotal moment in Walsh's career came when he was involved with The Eagles, one of the biggest bands in history. Interestingly, it was Walsh who recommended producer Bill Szymczyk to the band during their pursuit of a new direction. The Eagles were exploring a shift from their country rock roots towards a rock and roll edge, and Walsh's influence during this transition was monumental.
As he recounts joining The Eagles, Walsh touches upon the departure of Bernie Leadon, who sought to maintain a pure bluegrass sound, ultimately leaving the door open for Walsh. Interestingly, Walsh explains how his prior experience, along with performances with the Eagles, allowed for a natural integration into the band.
