Part 5/9:
At the heart of their visit, David and Gail discover the breathtaking Piazza Duomo, widely regarded as one of the most beautiful squares in Italy. With its marble paving and recently restored stone buildings, the square exudes an exquisite ambiance. They are especially captivated by the Cathedral of Syracuse, whose architecture reflects the city's long history—from its Baroque exterior completed in 1753 to the ancient Doric columns that harken back to the Temple of Athena erected in 590-580 BCE.
