He envisioned a scenario where the character would offer warmth and perhaps even a cup of coffee, a far cry from the impersonal, coldness of a desk.
Determination and Defiance
Despite his insistence on setting up the scene differently, the production team repeatedly required him to return to the desk. But he felt compelled to show them what he envisioned. As he rehearsed, the notion of what the scene could manifest into began to flow naturally, calling on the actor's instincts. The tension of the day created a sense of urgency in the performance that ignited old feelings within him.
