Part 4/13:
Our minds often engage in a continual stream of thoughts—a phenomenon referred to as the "monkey mind," characterized by its restless jumping from thought to thought. These thoughts can range from planning to judging or worrying, creating an impression of a solid "me" at the center who is doing the thinking. However, this self-identification raises a pressing question: is the "I" simply one of the many thoughts in this ceaseless stream?
As thoughts are inherently impermanent, this constant transformation indicates that there is no fixed self. The fluidity of thoughts resembles a river, always flowing and changing. One thought leads to another, generating a series of reactions without a fixed controller.
