The event occurred around 4:00 a.m. when the towering red Ferrari, piloted by Ling Gu, the only son of powerful Communist Party official Ling Jihua, lost control at a roundabout. The vehicle smashed into the southern barrier, ricocheted, and collided head-on with the northern guard rail. The impact was catastrophic, obliterating the car and ejecting all three occupants—a young man and two women—into the chilling night. Tragically, Ling Gu died instantly, while the two women sustained severe injuries and dubious treatment in the aftermath.
