A firsthand account involved tagging along with a woman visiting her incarcerated husband, providing a vivid glimpse into the surreal environment of these visits. Within the confines of a designated apartment-like space, couples could enjoy a temporary reprieve from the harsh realities of prison life, albeit with strict regulations—including a ban on phones and personal possessions.
