The transformation from wort to beer occurs during fermentation when yeast is introduced. Anheuser-Busch has diligently maintained the same strain of yeast since 1876, an essential element that produces the distinctive flavors of Budweiser. The fermentation process typically lasts six days before the yeast settles out and the raw beer can be pronounced.
However, fermentation is just one part of the process. To enhance the flavor, the beer undergoes a process known as Beachwood aging, which allows for better yeast contact and flavor development.
