In traditional batteries, the cathode is often the powerhouse and the anode serves as the power store. Silicon carbon alters this ratio, allowing manufacturers to increase the cathode's size substantially—up to 75%—while decreasing the anode to about 25%. This innovation can yield both high performance and long-lasting energy.
Furthermore, silicon’s property to charge significantly faster without bursting has been a recent technical hurdle. Innovations to allow for silicon expansion have made it possible to mitigate safety concerns, allowing these batteries to perform efficiently without failure.
