Part 2/8:
Hyunseung Lee, who served in the Storm Corps, described his life in North Korea as a mixture of indoctrination and survival. After his military service, he escaped to South Korea in 2014, joining the ranks of many defectors who sought safety from a regime known for imprisoning and executing dissidents. According to Lee, around 200,000 people are believed to be imprisoned in North Korean facilities, a testament to the oppressive control exerted by Kim Jong Un's regime.
