Part 2/8:
Early Life of George Lincoln Rockwell
Born on March 9, 1918, in Bloomington, Illinois, Rockwell had an unconventional upbringing as the son of traveling Vaudeville entertainers. His parents divorced early in his life, triggering a childhood split between New Jersey and Maine. After a difficult educational journey, which included rejections from prestigious universities, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy during World War II. His naval career spanned both the Battle of the Atlantic and the Pacific theater, ultimately leading to a position as a flight instructor during the Korean War.
