Witnesses like Kitaen and Shively had valuable information that was either overlooked or dismissed. Kitaen, for instance, recounted that her friends had spotted O.J.’s Bronco near the crime scene at a critical time, which coincided with the estimated time of death. Shively witnessed O.J. running a stop sign shortly after. Their testimonies could have raised reasonable doubt about O.J.'s alibi.
During the investigation, further inconsistencies emerged, such as O.J.’s behavior upon arriving at the airport shortly after the murders. Witnesses reported strange actions—disposing of a duffel bag that carried something suspicious—yet their accounts never made it to trial, further weakening the case for the prosecution.
