China Leads the World in Aquaculture
In recent years, China has emerged as the global powerhouse in aquaculture, producing more farmed fish than the rest of the world combined. With an astounding output surpassing 50 million tons per year, China not only leads in quantity but also in the variety of fish being farmed. When combined with India’s contribution of around 10 million tons, these two nations account for an impressive 65 million tons of farmed fish annually.
