Transition from Prison to Society
After serving 26 years, Santos was released in 2012. He returned to a world vastly changed by technology and social norms. Navigating simple tasks like driving was daunting, but he was determined to succeed.
Santos quickly harnessed his experiences to advocate for prison reform. He began speaking at universities and judicial conferences, sharing his story and emphasizing that anyone could transform their life, regardless of their circumstances.
