One of the biggest advantages of working in the AWA was the camaraderie among wrestlers, who tended to be a group of skilled and respected individuals. Stars of that era included names like Hulk Hogan, Nick Bockwinkel, Bobby Heenan, Jerry Blackwell, and more. The shared experiences within a smaller pool of talent fostered relationships, and opportunities for creative work became abundant.
As wrestlers participated in fewer matches, they were given more time to develop their speaking skills and engage with the audience. This opportunity was instrumental for many, including those who found early success like Ted DiBiase and Hulk Hogan. The environment allowed for organic storytelling and character development, contributing to the professional growth of all involved.
