The dialogue surrounding Alonso’s future contract can be convoluted. Many have debated whether the Mets have acted in good faith during contract negotiations. Cohen’s administration has not shied away from engaging in tough negotiations, which could be interpreted as lack of respect for Alonso’s contributions.
