Melting chocolate can be done either in the microwave or through a double boiler method. If using a microwave, heat the chocolate in 30-second bursts at half power, stirring frequently until it’s completely melted and silky. Alternatively, if opting for the double boiler method, fill a pot with about two inches of water, bring it to a simmer, and place a bowl on top. Make sure the bowl doesn’t touch the water. This gentle steam helps to melt the chocolate without burning it.

Tip: When using white chocolate or candy melts, be extra cautious as they can easily burn. Stirring frequently will help prevent this. If needed, you can add a touch of coconut oil or vegetable shortening to thin out the chocolate if it becomes too thick.
