We begin our adventure with an essential ingredient — the egg. The method of cracking eggs is vital. It’s often said that cracking eggs on a flat surface prevents any shell pieces from getting into the mix. For our coconut macaroons, we’ll be using only the egg white. A neat trick shared is using an empty water bottle to easily separate the egg yolk from the white — simply squeeze, touch the yolk, and release for a hassle-free separation. This fun method not only adds a bit of flair to cooking but also keeps the process clean.
