For stovetop cooking, slice the pressed tofu into slabs and fry in a non-stick pan over medium-high heat with a bit of oil. Each side should brown for about 6–8 minutes, reaching a crispy exterior. The previously made marinade can be used to enhance flavor either during cooking or as a finishing sauce.
Grilling the Tofu
Grilling offers a fantastic way to create smoky, delicious tofu. Cut the marinated tofu into cubes and thread them onto skewers (soak wooden skewers beforehand to prevent burning). Prepare the grill by pre-treating it and oiling the grates to avoid sticking.
Heat the grill to medium-high for 10 minutes.
Place the skewers on the grill, reduce the heat directly below them, and close the lid.
