In a large mixing bowl, start by combining the flour, sugar, salt, and dried yeast. Make a well in the center and add the mashed potatoes, an egg, and melted margarine. Mix these ingredients until they’re partially combined before gradually adding milk a little at a time. This gradual integration helps achieve the right dough consistency.

3. Kneading the Dough

Once the mixture comes together, it's time to knead. The dough may initially feel stickier than traditional bread dough; this is normal for potato bread. For approximately 10 to 12 minutes, knead until the dough is smooth and elastic. If it gets too sticky, sprinkle in a little more flour as needed.
