After kneading, place the dough in a lightly greased bowl and cover it with a clean cloth. To create a warm environment for the dough to rise, place the bowl in your oven (turned off) with a small bowl of warm water. This step helps the dough to rise efficiently, particularly in cooler climates.
5. Shaping and Second Rising
Once the dough has doubled in size, gently punch it down and turn it out onto a lightly floured surface. Divide the dough as needed and shape it into loaves. Place them into greased loaf pans and allow them to rise again until they've doubled in size, which will take about 30-40 minutes.
