After the last fold, it’s time to shape your dough into a ball. Lightly flour your work surface, and gently shape the dough without deflating it too much. Place the shaped dough into a well-floured loaf pan.
Step 5: Final Rise
Cover the dough once again and let it rise for about 20 minutes. This second rise is crucial, as it allows the dough to expand and become airy.
Step 6: Preheat the Oven
While the dough is rising, preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F). To create a crispy crust, place a tray filled with hot water at the bottom of the oven. This steam will help the bread develop a beautiful, crusty exterior.
