The meta-network that you are describing could very well be the COSMOS ecosystem. It is a bunch of blockchains that (IMO) are faster and easier to navigate than EVM chains... and cheaper too. COSMOS SDK also brought THORChain and cough LUNA into existence... and all of these chains can securely transfer assets from chain to chain. BTC is now on the verge of getting a decentralized wrap on COSMOS and that will flip COSMOS DeFI on its head as the TVL on COSMOS is massive without anyone locking BTC as of yet.
