I joined the crypto space in 2018. A client asked me to edit an online publication specializing in blockchain and cryptocurrency news. I agreed. That's when I learned about Steemit. I joined and started earning STEEM. It was my first cryptocurrency.

You could say Steemit was my first crypto wallet. Then I downloaded MetaMask.

My first crypto transaction was posting to Steemit.

Today, I own HIVE, HBD, BTC, ETH, MATIC, SOL, XRP, and a bucket of other cryptocurrencies. The list is too long.

I lost thousands of dollars in STEEM and Steem Monsters collectibles when I lost my wallet keys (@blockurator). That was right after the hard fork that launched Hive, so I also lost some HIVE. The biggest value was in the Splinterlands cards (then known as Steem Monsters) because most of my collection consisted of Alpha cards and I had several Level 9 and Level 10 cards. They could be worth tens of thousands of dollars today.

What a story!!! You have come a long way from Steem. I know it must have felt so bad to loose that account key - loosing the steem and Hive airdrop too. The Steem Monsters card too was a great loss. I know such a loss will not happen again. You have quite a story here. Thanks for the response

Yeah, I was so disgusted with myself I stayed off of Hive for a couple of years before coming back. lol
