Community Service Announcement:

Value is derived from output. To receive value from the blockchain, you must first add value to the blockchain.

This should be pinned to the top of every page on Leo.

1000% correct.

Caveat:

Compare Web3 to Web2 in this regard. You are not guaranteed to receive value from any social media platform, be it Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc. You can post all day long every day and receive nothing in return. Of course, if your posts are valuable, you'll likely attract followers, but there's no guarantee of return.

On Web3 social media (Hive, Leo, etc.), you are almost guaranteed a return in value. If you contribute something valuable, a like is more than a like, a thumbs up is more than a thumbs up. It's more like a tip. You receive something of intrinsic value just for someone appreciating what you've contributed. That is almost impossible on Facebook.

In other words, it's more unlikely to happen on legacy social media than likely. On Web3 social, it's more likely to happen than not.
