We're still a long way from mass adoption. I'm not sure Hive will ever replace Web2 social media. It could become a social media juggernaut of its own, but it will take some work on the part of the witnesses and current Hive users to get the word out about what it has to offer. It's still in that realm where people quickly misunderstand it. Until the benefits are clearly and effective communicated so that current Web2 enthusiasts understand it and appropriate those benefits, Hive and other Web3 platforms and protocols will be niche products.
