I have heard of it but haven't used it. From what I heard, you can stream an entire day and get less than 1 fuel ($0.42 when I checked back then). You have to actually interact to get the bigger amounts so I didn't think it was worth it.

I was thinking it might be something I could leave on while I'm researching for a blog post, or maybe watch gameplay videos. Bookmrked it and may look into it later on.

I was also thinking of doing so but it affects me slightly when others are using the network at the same time. I might be able to do so when there are less people but I honestly don't think I want to toggle on and off.

That is what I was thinking. Just have it running in the background so that it generates a stream.
I have to look into it further. The problem is what to do with the tokens once earned. Are they even traded anywhere?

I remember a comment in the post below where they aren't even allow non-streamings to remove Theta from the system. So unless your an active streamer, its still a guess that you can take things out eventually.

Hmmm seems like more of a pain in the ass than anything else.
In other words just another closed system that tries to build a wall around what they are doing.

Yea it seems to be a little bit too closed door. But I think their platform is a good alternative to twitch if they get it right. Only the content creators right now can take money out but I guess anyone can invest. Though you might never get a chance to take out your money

Yeah so a closed system.
To me that doesnt have a ton of value.
It is like the credits or whatever you want to call them on Coingecko. They can be used on the site but little use really.

I agree , it can be used to buy stuff from only the internal shop so that's the only usecase .
If it was a open crypto , it would have been more interesting .

Never tried it... from what I learned from the comments below, it doesn't look like a great product yet, but the concept is interesting. If I got it right, it has the same idea as Twitch, and Twitch is huge. Maybe there's potential on this product or something similar.

If they expand beyond their own ecosystem then they might stand out and the token will be worth something .
