By the time it becomes too pricey for new users to buy enough HP to be active a lot , we need to do something about it . We need to figure out a way to let them get addicted to Hive before investing in HP maybe .
Tradable RC is what looks attractive to me in that direction.

Actually it is likely going to be the apps who are going to have to load up on HP to be able to support their users. After all if you start a business, you want your users to be able to interact with your platform. If they cannot, you will not hand around long.
This is what applications on Hive face. They need to make sure people have enough RCs.
That is why Leo is loading up on accounts and also getting some decent HP together. They can delegate some to each user to get them stared.

Yea I think what LEO is doing by giving LEO in return for HP as their way of gathering HP. I think this might be a problem for new applications because of the higher barrier of entry. In this case, we may see less on the development side.

Well the more people with Hive accounts, the bigger the pool of people is so the development will likely continue.
After all, it matters none who onboards a user and delegates the HP. People can use it for activity on any application. Plus, as people earn some Hive, they will power up, forgoing the need for the delegation, returning that to the original app's pool.
Ultimately, it all comes down to the number of Hive accounts that are out there and interested in being active.

Having interest in been active is the key here......their interest in been active will determine what they are going to be doing on the hive blockchain...

There probably won't be a solution for everything and I think one of the issues is that you can only delegate your own HP. So even if we wanted to lend HP to applications, they wouldn't be able to lend them out. I guess they could load up on HP using Dlease to gather their own HP but I am not sure if it's the best thing to do.
