Fantastic brainstorming! I agree that a snail mail press kit would be much more impressive, especially if it is in a sleek package like the one above.
Before proceeding with production, perhaps it would be a good idea to brainstorm further and make a list of media/news, podcasters, Youtubers etc to send it to.
Also, is there any estimate on total shipping costs? I think that would likely be around half the total cost or more, shipping adds up quickly. It would be better to ship in a box so that it doesnt get all smashed up on the way there, that would kill the presentation and really hurt the wow factor and novelty. That could make it a bit expensive, though.
And yes, a list of the milestones and history, current stats, and future goals is a good idea to give them a brief introduction and show them that the network is plenty active with a great community.
I went ahead and followed you because I want to see this project succeed, and would like to make a donation once the costs are figured out and tallied up. Is there any way on HIVE to get notifications or a special subscription for a specific user? I just dont want to miss the updates if it takes a while and perhaps I have forgotten about it.
Also, I think some folks would like to get some of these as collectibles, perhaps you could put them on sale to Hivers, and use the funds to finance the production and shipping costs of the press kits to the media. Just an idea, might be easier than collecting the donations for it, but whatever you feel is best.
