Yes it does. Then you can have a dicussion about "good" vs "bad" debt and of there is a difference between government holding debts vs private debt.

Sure, but the person getting rich is still not fully free until he/she pays it of :)
I dont say debt cant be useful and sometimes necessary, but you will always have that feeling in the back of your head that you owe something to someone.
