Learn and Earn in HIVE

in LeoFinance3 years ago

Hi, everyone. I would like to first thank you for all your supports and I am flattered to be manually curated by @risingstargame. I will keep updating my gaming stats and find some useful information to share. However, I am facing a problem recently. I can’t publish any post these days.

To be honest, I came into HIVE because of Splinterlands at first. I saw some posts introducing Splinterlands and I was interested in it. I signed up for my account with Metamsk at the very beginning but I didn’t start my journey on Splinterlands because of the Summoner’s Spellbook. I didn’t pay much attention on this at that time and somehow, I returned back there and I didn’t want to be RECRUIT_27938. I signed up for my HIVE account and log in with my name andykyk524. But I still didn’t start playing Splinterlands until late August. How stupid I am.

At that time, I think HIVE keychain is just another wallet. Nothing more. I plan to publish a post every day (if I can) and then suddenly I can’t publish anymore. I don’t know what RC is and I don’t know what to do. This is how I finally start exploring in HIVE. As I start searching information about HIVE, I get confused. There are so many terms other than RC. There are also HP, HBD and many other kinds of stuff. Luckily, I find an article written by @ryzeonline. I am not going to explain HIVE blockchain here as they are comprehensively written here. I just want to share some key points I got in case some of you are in some situation like me.

HIVE is a decentralized social media blockchain. It tracks every social interaction and we can get rewards from them. Every data is stored on the blockchain and is encrypted by un-hackable key, only the key owner can edit or delete them. The keys mentioned here are the private keys provided when I signed up for my account. They are owner key, active key, posting key and memo key. They have different tier access and all of them have to be backed up. The HIVE Keychain helps us to store the keys so we can approve the accesses quickly simply by clicking a button.

The reason that I can’t publish my post is that I don’t have enough RC. RC stands for Resource Credit. It is consumed on every social interaction. When RC hits 0, no more action can be made, just like me. But RC can be recharged and this depends on the Hive Power (HP) you have. You can use this site https://giftgiver.site/ to get some HP and RC to be back to the play sooner. Now, I have 0.006 HP and still it takes me quite a while to fully recharge my RC. HBD stands for Hive-Backed Dollar and it is a bit different from HP and RC. HBD are bundles of HIVE tokens that are equal to 1 US Dollar. Hive is the primary cryptocurrency of the blockchain, while HBD is intended to remain fixed in price to the USD.

As I learn more about HIVE, I find out that it is an excellent project with great ideas and well-developed utilities. I will keep my eyes open to learn more and explore in HIVE. I am glad that I come into HIVE.
