RE: Giveaway - Kind of Like a Time Capsule Really (claim link)

in LeoFinance2 years ago

I never heard of that project, but the art was - and still is - amazing... quite sad that it all ended in nothing...

I claimed the link (thank you @pregosauce) because as I saw "Valencia" I thought: I would love to win this NFT! However it looks like I claimed ALL the NFTs and, perhaps, there are other users which would have liked to get one of them... so, if you are reading this post and thinking "D'oh, I came to late", don't worry and feel free to ask me here for one of them: I'll gladly send you one of these NFT on behalf of @pregosauce :)

consider commenting below about an NFT or crypto project that you feel should have made it, or that makes you feel nostalgic for those Pre-Bear Days

I started my journey right before the last bear market and at that time I was just trying to understand how all this incredible crypto-world worked: so, unluckily (or luckily?) I don't know NFT projects who had great potential but didn't survived the last year.

However exactly one year ago I was playing Gods Unchained and I thought that that game deserved so much success that what it was getting... one year later I'm not playing it anymore and, even if it's alive (and thriving? 😂) I think it's far to be doing as good as it could do! And even if their art is not on par with Magic The Gathering (❤️), I still think that they are far ahead of other NFT-games full of frogs, dogs, and zombies.

Thanks again for this giveaway: I will keep your NFT (or the ones I'll not send to other users willing to have one) and, if you ever wish to have them back, I'll be happy to send them to their orginal owner (you never know if you will have nostalgia of them!)... except for Valencia! :)

Haha, awesome, mate! Glad you liked some of those cards - I guess it is not tooooooo surprising that they had fierce competition for their artist!

Oh, Gods Unchained, wow, well if it was not for all the little ETH bonuses they offered at the beginning I would be pretty unhappy about that game. Rewards that are worth nothing are easy to get and the market for cards is brutal. Yay, I can sell a card for .00000002 ETH! They had a promotion where if you win 15 ranked matches per week for 4 weeks you would get 50 $GODS - my strategy was to buy cards with Gods and sell them for ETH and at least get some value above gas fees from my year+ playing (not very often, but still...). Prices collapsed again and again and again.

But it is a well developed game for sure. The new cards are overpowered relative to the old and free cards so winning consistently is hard, but it is a complex game. Never seems to take off though, like you said.

When is Ninjago coming to crypto? hahaha
