Delving into Focus

Hey folks.

For the last day or so, thanks to a DBuzz from @manniman, I've been learning about #Focus, a new dapp due to launch near end of Qtr. 2..

Focus is built on the #deso blockchain. So i'm learning about Deso as well as Focus.

At the moment i'm reading about the tokenomics.

What you can do to reserve $FOCUS points (which will later give you an airdrop), is to buy (and/or earn) then stake $DESO.

You can buy DESO with btc, eth, sol, USDT & CUSD then stake DESO (after 11/11/23 until app launch date).

If you do that you will be airdropped a number of FOCUS tokes in proportion to your staked DESO), and you get to keep the DESO. You get half the FOCUS liquid, and the rest staked with a 1 year cliff then linearly over 5 years (i think - need to check).

FOCUS has a fixed Floor Bid price (being same price you paid with DESO) so your liquid FOCUS, so you can sell back to DESO at any tiime. So effectively you've got free FOCUS.

And/Or you will be able to earn Focus Reservations during Phase 1 (11/11/23 until app launch near end Qtr. 2) bu using the Focus app.

Also, by linking some other social media accounts (once the app launches), you can connect some of your other social media accounts (eg. X & Fakebook) and get more FOCUS bonuses based on your No. of followers & views of your post on those linked platforms.

i've been asking questions about governance and censorship resistance which i don't have the answers to yet. So i have some reservations still.

i would like to see Focus connected to Hive to our Hive accounts so we can also add to our Focus #airdrop, if we choose to experiment with it, like i am, just to learn what it's all about.

Deso has is a very interesting model which includes Creator Coins, which are fascinating but i don't fully understand yet, but i'm not gonna go into all that or i would be writing for ages.
