Ok, i briefly checked this out bro. and it's clear to me in this instance that @irfanmustafa was given warnings of plagarism, initially by a hive user who suggested burning rewards if he was gonna post like this.
This was the post: https://ecency.com/hive-140084/@irfanmustafa/health-benefits-of-bone-marrow
Irfan did not reply to the comment, then 2 posts later he got comment from hivewatchers with details of how to appeal. He did not reply to that either, and it continues.
Maybe he did contact hivewatchers in discord, idk. but it appears to me the guy knew what he was doing (if he bothered to read replies), ie. Reward pool farming but chose to take no notice.
First impression anyway, but i don't see reason to spend more time investigating.
Understand?
So this is actually something that I've been aware of for a while, and it was an issue which we had considered resolved over a month ago. Just for some background:
When starting out, Irfan made a couple of significant errors: using AI without attribution, then copying content without adding the source (which is common on other social media platforms). HW did catch him, and I did not oppose this, but did request that I speak to him so that he could modify these behaviors. Once I spoke to him, he did exactly that, without hesitation. He has been posting original content - to my knowledge - for over a month now. The targeted harassment has stopped for a short period of time, and then started again without any specific cause (and no reasoning was ever provided upon repeated requests).
When someone corrects their behavior, there's no reason to continue punishing them, especially if they're relatively new. As the saying goes, "never attribute to malice that which can be attributed to ignorance" or something close to that - Irfan acknowledged his errors and fixed them. He did it with my help. At this point, Hiewatchers' job is more than finished, especially since I'm personally looking at his content at this point. Their continued downvotes of original content, unless they prove otherwise, are bullying and harassment.
Now, aside from Irfan himself, I'll let you know the malice that HW has shown.
This post should provide a lot of context. You'll notice that when HW stepped in, I actually offered the person behind the account an opportunity to join our curation team so I could hear out their ideas; instead of attempting to work with me, they simply insulted the community and targeted our members even more than had previously. It was clear that they had a vendetta against me because I had criticized their methods.
Furthermore, when I asked for proof of some recent cases where I felt they were abusively attacking our community members, I was met with radio silence. They simply refused to provide any sort of evidence. Presumably, if they had done their investigation as they are tasked to do, it should have been quick for them to pull up proof even one out of 20+ times.
To add salt to the wound, I requested numerous times that they tag me whenever they find a case of perceived violations, because as a community leader I should be aware of what's going on in my community, and so that I could talk to the members myself. I'm pretty certain I do have that right, and it would help me work with them rather than against them. Instead of doing this, they simply ignored my 2 dozen requests and quietly continued to downvote more users without providing any evidence of wrongdoing and without tagging me. They simply downvoted some people on Day 6 of their posts and scurried away like rats.
These are not the actions of someone who is interested in helping a community thrive - these are the actions of a vindictive bully, abuser, and serial harasser. From my experience, for any good that Hivewatchers might do, they certainly do plenty of harm.
