The law of Karma suggests that whatever goes around comes around, and that applies to literally anything no matter how little or inconsequential we deem it to be. Whatever choices or decisions we make is subject to the law of cause and effect. If you wake up and go to work without breakfast, you will have to deal with the hunger pangs till lunch time. If you don't prepare for that presentation, you will likely not do well with it, etc.
In making choices, we must consider the future implications to be sure that when it is time to pay, you will not be caught unaware. Everything comes at a price, and the future cost of current decisions will always comes knocking. Since everything we do finds its way back to us, it only makes sense to keep that in mind as we try to maneuver life.
One future cost of current choices that always comes back to us is regret. Along the way in everyone's journey, there comes a time when we find ourselves regretting some of the things we did and didn't do. For instance, if you wanted to make a career change in your Forties or whatever, and you don't do it because of your age or how far you have gone in your current field, there is a high probability that you are going to regret not doing that, or not.
Sometimes we fail to see the bigger picture and that is not always as a result of inadequacy or lack of advancement. We can't have it all. We can't always get it right. What we can do is try our best to always seize the opportunities in front of us, treat everyone with love and kindness, and always try to put our best foot forward. At least, you can say that you tried.
Thank you for stopping by. ❤️
