RE: The future and fiat don't mix.

I don't think poor people will have no value after UBI is implemented... we are way better spenders and consumers than rich people. What's the point of automating production if there is no one around to buy products?

Sure but wouldn't it be nice if you could force the population to do things by making them 100% financially dependent on the state? Not only that, politicize the issue so that half of the population accepts the new narrative and provides a buffer so that no one revolts as both sides duke it out.

You have to look at these things on a macro scale. The government is providing UBI while Amazon updates automation. Amazon was already committed to automation before the economy even went to shit. Every corporation and government is a separate entity and they are all haphazardly interacting in a worldwide clusterfuck. Whereas what you've just described assumes that one entity has unilateral centralized control over everything.

Often the so called poor people have the biggest hearts. I experienced this many times in real life. Many of them helped me, when I was homeless. And I have been also poor since I live, so I also experience from first hand what does it mean to be poor.

The poor people are actually not poor. The rich/wealthy people are poor. At least most of them. They are selfish and greedy. They always want more, and this is why they will not be happy. Nothing is enough for them.

I give you some !PIZZA and !LUV.
