Greetings lions and lion cups. The word "Leo" makes me think of a zodiac sign and also lions, that's why I called thee all lions, lol. Am as my name implies, am not so used to people but that's alright. I may be a girl or a boy, if am being honest I may be trans, but that doesn't matter tho, right? If there's one thing I love about Hive/leofinance is that you don't really have to put your true identity out there if you don't want to (some of us love staying isolated, and speaking of isolation please use your face masks when going outside and keep a distance from the next person, stay safe and keep the world safe :). I love it how it doesn't matter is you're black or white, ain't no racism here and that is something steemit doesn't understand but Hive knows it all.
How did I find Hive/Leofinance?
I don't think that there's any one that hasn't punched this key words "how to make money online" on Google search engine before. It didn't pop out as the first result tho, but after a lot of navigations, I saw steemit and Hive as a option, where to create articles and make money. I checked steemit out and noticed the "dumb" requirement so I left, then tried Hive and it was a lot better. Leofinance was actually an option there tho, I discovered this after I had created an Hive account, which was easy for me cause all I had to do was sign up and not go through any further registration.
Why am I on Leofinance?
Well, am definitely not a story teller, neither am I an artist, no a doctor, I know less of everything but I accumulate more of a business and finance knowledge, that makes me less a nerd right? Am definitely here for the money, I mean that is what got me on Google in the first place.
What do I bring to Leofinance?
Doom? Lol, I bring good vibes and in return need good vibes. I mean at first it was all about money, but getting here and seeing all the amazing contents on leofinance, I discovered that this is a new opportunity to not just earn but learn. Cryptocurrency, the trend setters, I will bring daily updates on cryptocurrencies, a reflectory article on the worlds economy, you want finance? I can share my money making strategies. I bring it all in and hope you welcome it.
What are the Challenges I have on Leofinance?
Being a total novice, I know nothing about the system and how it works. I saw some unusual errors popping on my screens while trying to love a post. Now typing that makes it funny because I called it "love" because it literally carries an heart shape that makes it look like Instagram, lol. While that happened, I have to Check for the "FAQ". I won't say I read through it all and am certain not everyone could read through it all, damn it was long and educative. I think I got some information about RC, uhm please how do I fix that? And what are this words : palnet, neoxian, archod, mancave? They are always at the buttom of posts, I know they are tags but how do I use them?

But at the end of the day it is both. It goes faster, if you invest some LEOs, though.
Yes, the likes we do call "upvotes" (you can also downvote, but is is done very rarely and only for a good reason like spam, not just for not agreeing with a content).
The RC issue can be fixed by powering up (=staking) some Hive, e.g. 50 would do. Once staked it takes 13 weeks to power all of them down again (1/13 every week). This is also a good way to protect your Hives, as no hacker can grab your Hives, when staked!
Most importantly, the more you have staked, the higher your own upvote value is and the more you profit from upvoting others. E.g. I earn more with upvoting (called "curation") than with writing.
This is a huge ecosystem you were entering, full of possibilities... Some of the tags you mentioned are from tribes, they have some extra tokens that can be earned, this can get a little complicated. E.g. if you add #leofinance as tag to your post, after seven days you will get author rewards in Hive and in LEO (if the people who are upvoting you have stakes in both Hive and LEO). Half of the rewards go to the writer, the other half to the upvoters.

They are different communities within HIVE. You can use the tag or even post on their dedicated front ends. You can use Keychain extension to login.

There are some things going on the backend that are causing some hiccups, they should go away soon.
