Bitcoin is over $ 50k again
Bitcoin fell again to over $ 50,000 on Wednesday, after declining yesterday with the statements made by the SEC presidential candidate.
Bitcoin fell on Tuesday following statements from the US market regulator SEC's presidential candidate, and again hit over $ 50,000 on Wednesday.
While cryptocurrency increased by more than 8 percent during the day and traded around $ 51,494, it lost 21 percent last week.
"Movements in Bitcoin and Ethereum give the impression that these assets are a barometer for measuring their risk expectations," Saxo Bank Investments Managing Director Steen Jakobsen said.
"The SEC needs to eliminate cryptocurrency fraud," said Gary Gensler, presidential candidate for the US Securities and Exchange Commission, in a statement yesterday evening. After the announcement, Bitcoin lost 2.9 percent in value.
