Recently I realized that it is very important to have a security camera at home. Unlike olden days, it is very common to see security camera in many places. I remember that in olden days we have to call someone who is an expert in this and they used to charge a decent amount of money to install security camera. Today the technology is very advanced and we have compact and good camera available. We can even buy it ourselves and install it as it has become that simple.
The importance of having a security camera is something that we have to first understand. The main aspect is safety here. I would like to elaborate more on the security aspect in this article. It has been a very common thing now but many people don't still believe that it is affordable. The reason is because some CCTV installation companies have not upgraded their tech and they are still installing it for a costly price. If we do it by ourselves, it is not that much costly.
Safety
Recently we had an incident where someone jumped out from our compound wall. This is a very unusual thing and nobody enters any private properties here. We did not witness it but our neighbor mentioned about it to us. That's when we got more curious about the safety aspects. It was true that we cannot find out if someone is entering our house and if they easily steal something from the house. It's not like we have a lot of valuables inside the house but these people are mad and they might harm individuals.
So in order to be safe from all these things, having a security camera is the best solution. We will be able to monitor what is happening around the house and the thief will also be careful if there are such safety measures in place.
Not costly
Earlier it used to be very costly. But these days security camera is not very costly and it is not very hard to get one installed. There are different types of camera available and there are also outdoor and indoor camera. Based on the type of camera we choose the cost varies. If we look for more features like night vision and HD quality, the cost will be on a higher end but some basic camera these days are having these features in built already.
DIY
As said earlier, it is not very complicated to install a security camera at home it can be done as a simple Do It Yourselves project. Some people who have elderly people at home, have cameras inside the home too to watch the elderly people and communicate with them. But otherwise even outdoor camera is easy to install except for the wiring part. If there is a provision already available, it shouldn't be a problem. We have to buy the right camera and fix some screws and install it. If we don't have wiring facility, we can even get it done with the help of an electrician.

I think for security is better to set up and alarm and a safe and solid door and windows, security camera you can record and see thieves and such, but they don't go around without covered face
