It has long been believed that whoever rules the sea, or the river, as an artery, rules the world, because he can set his own rules and be calm about his tomorrow, because the sea and other bodies of water are essentially an inexhaustible source of resources.
Today, most seas and other bodies of water are divided between states, not counting neutral waters, which are quite difficult to get to, but this also happened lol, probably, that is why many people dream of becoming owners of at least small bodies of water in which life is in full swing, from a small spherical aquarium with a goldfish, to their own full-fledged lake.
Yesterday I touched on a topic that is interesting to me and this topic is fish farming, which is associated with the need to somehow become the owner or tenant of a reservoir.
The topic is very extensive.
There are pros and cons to this kind of activity and I am interested in weighing it all up, because it is very easy to make a fatal mistake in this matter.
Today we will talk about an important part of such a matter as your own pond with fish and other aquatic organisms, and these are our motives related to our capabilities, both financial and labor-intensive, and what is connected with this.
So, in essence, any pond is a puddle, large or small, an aquarium for ten liters, or a bottomless ocean.
You have seen that in puddles after rain, underwater life appears very quickly, if the puddle does not dry up for a long time, and this depends on a constant source of water, which is worth thinking about.
Very quickly, any puddle, or even a lifeless aquarium in which you have not yet launched fish, becomes a biotope teeming with life and its first settlers are bacteria.
The smaller the reservoir, the more difficult it is to monitor the bacterial and oxygen balance, which is very important, therefore, a small reservoir for breeding and keeping fish is always a big hassle.
Sour, sometimes similar to rotten eggs smell of bacterial outbreaks and violation of the oxygen balance, this is not what we want to see in the reservoir that we rule, not to mention the bloom of water in the summer, and freezing of the reservoir in the winter.
The more bacteria in the water, the less oxygen there is, which means that these are not the best conditions for keeping fish, whether for aesthetic purposes of a hobbyist, or commercial fish farming.
So, the size of the reservoir matters for the well-being of the fish and it is important to understand how the replacement of fresh water and the draining of excess water will be carried out both for prevention and to facilitate the harvesting of grown fish.
Let's divide this into two sources, this is inflow water in the form of a stream and water from groundwater, there is a significant difference in this, which we will talk about tomorrow.
