I think the size of the bee in the badge will be bigger the more you powered up. (Just verified I looked at your bee badge and mine and mine stays in the box, your bee is pretty so big the badge barely contains the wings).
I do prefer how my smaller bee badge looks compared to the big bee badge, but a little bit bigger would be nicer.
