Splinterlands never stops developing and growing and in the incoming months - September & October 2022 - we will be getting some new releases from the team. The SPS already started being awarded for Daily Battles, Focus and Season rewards so that could provide some additional liquidity on the market. Still, with events like the Riftwatchers launch where about 3 Million packs will be able to be acquired just with SPS and with the first governance voting, I think things are starting to get hot. And if the rewards will be based also on staked SPS or a new use case to derive from this, it provides another reason to buy and hold/stake SPS. On top of that Splinterfest might also add to the hype.
For the upcoming events and as I am predicting that SPS price will improve in the next 2 months, I have decided to invest $1,000. The funds will actually come from my HBD Savings where I have (or better said had) a few thousand HBD and will translate into $1k HBD. I have withdrawn $1k HBD from my HBD Savings account and in 3 days the funds were available in my wallet.
From the wallet, I have performed the following steps in order to exchange HBD into SPS.
- Exchange HBD to HIVE using the Hive Internal Market
- Deposit the exchanged Hive on Hive-Engine using BeeSwap Exchange
- Exchange Hive to SPS using TribalDex Liquidity Pools through BeeSwap Exchange
- Track SPS price evolution in my wallet using LeoDex
At the moment I have 17,345 SPS liquid which accounted for $979.81 as the market constricted a bit. Still, the plan is to have the funds ready on an SPS spike predicted on the above events, where I am hoping to reach a list x2 target if all play well. No risk, no gain, and this time I am at least ready to take advantage of the market if that will happen. If not probably will stake them all in order to earn about 30% from staking.

With so many events and updates to come, many will be speculating on the price of SPS, it's interesting to see your plans in the next few months about SPS and what lies ahead. Worth paying close attention to.
The expectations and the plan are set, now let's watch and see if these come to fruition. If also the crypto market would show an uptrend, I think that would help as well.

This made me wonder if I should unstake my SPS and sell them after the price spike(riftwatchers) , then re-enter after the hype has finished.
I think is always good to have a stash of liquid SPS in order to take opportunities on the market. And with waves of different deliveries, we saw that the market responds positively to them.

Interesting approach. I'm stacking more and more and from the daily earning, there is a nice influx of liquid SPS coming in. The plan is to get at least 1000 Riftwatchers packs. Let's see on this.

Riftwatchers will be a crazy release, not only they probably will act as Promo cards given bonuses in the battles, but all the earnings will be allocated to SPS holder's fund where they can become another revenue stream or be burned.
