One victory at a time

in LeoFinance3 years ago

There's always so much going on at every time of the day and if you blink, you will miss out on something. Over the years, I've learned not to beat myself over missed opportunities.

I mean, yeah, it sucks when it happens but if you focus on your strong points and try to consolidate on them, you won't feel too bad about things that go over your head.

To simplify it, I just tell myself that the missed opportunities weren't for me. It doesn't mean missing out won't hurt though. However, you're going to have a better shock absorber when you prepare yourself for it.

You can't have it all

As the old adage goes "even if you're walking under the rain, not every raindrop will touch you". It means, you're not always going to be on the winning side but hey, regardless of the situation, you're still going to feel the raindrops, as long as you're under the rain.

The crypto industry is kind of like rainfall when you think about it. As long as you're standing outside, the rain will touch you. However, it will touch some more than others because of where they're standing.

A lot of times, people stand on the sidelines and talk about how they want to make money from crypto. The problem is that most people aren't ready to take the risk, get wet, and risk catching a cold under the crypto rain.

Putting in work

Anybody getting into crypto from the normie world experiences culture shock and rightly so because it's a whole new ball game. However, it can take over your life and be very rewarding, if you play your cards right.

So in essence, it means that crypto is different from everything you know but at the same time, very similar to everything you know. Literally speaking, is there any work of life that if you play your cards right, and combine that with some luck, you're not going to make it?

Crypto just gives you a different option and method to achieving your goal. The question is, are you willing to take a chance?

I interact with a lot of people who ask me about crypto and I like to be completely honest with them. They come in starry-eyed and then I hit them with the truth.

I tell people that it's not all fair weather but if you're willing to try and combine that with some luck, things could end up right. Unfortunately, not many people are willing to try.

The worst part is that I offer them an approach that's absolutely free through incentivized social media or blockchain gaming like Splinterlands, but again, it doesn't always work out.

It's either "it's too complicated", "I don't know how to write" or something along that line that comes up. Even when I try to simplify it, it still doesn't change much.

Coincidentally, there are also people I encounter that don't even need too many explanations before they get going. They hear the information and immediately grab it, and start exploring.

No way around it

So, at the end of the day, well, you have to take it one day at a time. If you're just starting your journey in crypto, I want to tell you that it's going to be a fun ride.

Always follow simple rules like;

  • Protecting your keys
  • Doing research
  • Never take anything as financial advice. Revert to the second rule

There's really not much to it, just be vigilant and make decisions based on your unique requirements. Never do something because "everyone" is doing it. There's no everyone, there's just you.

Finally, take it one day at a time. Every day we spend under the sun is a blessing and a victory in its own right, so make the most of it. Diversify, learn and be a better version of yourself. That's all there is to it.

Unfortunately, not many people are willing to try.

Some are willing but needs more results. Majority are afraid to take risk and wants to be in the safe side. Good for us who take initiative on this space the more we learn, the more we understand that we do not know 😅 and needs guidance from others.

Yup and Hive makes is very easy to understand you don't understand, but still make the best out of the situation

Tell me about it. I can't count the numbers of people I've approached and they all end up being lazy about everything. Truth is, not everyone here are writers, but they learned it, they trained themselves because there's a goal set out, but the lazy bones in the world just don't have the discipline.

But it's cool, eventually, they will come around, look around, crypto is spreading like a wildfire, when once it begins burning down the streets and hit those specific roofs, you'd see them come back asking, belemo, that crypto stuff, how fa?

Haha

Its already happening now sef. My friends that I've been telling about it have been asking me about SPlinterlands and stuff.

I've seen a number of such people, it takes time, persuasion with lots of earning proofs, especially the simpler routes and most times, some newbies gifts as a bride to get some people over.

It's too much stress tbh. The things we do for love

Just remember we can't complain if we're not putting ourselves in a position to make life changing money when something moons.

For example, do you have enough Hive, LEO or CUB to truly change your life if any of them go to $10 or beyond?

Gotta actually put yourself in a position to actually take advantage.

Many people are unwilling to try because they fear failing, they fear loosing out. So many people are not risk takers.

Funny how that works right when you wtalk with others about it. I have told a lot of people for instance about Splinterlands already and also showed the value of my deck as it is right now and offered to even buy them a starter pack and still...nothing.

It is just not for everyone, even though also some who are investing into crypto already also dont want to put in the grind for the 'small' ones..But they dooooo want to get rich quickly haha.

Ow well, I keep blending in the message here and there and see what happens.

The best way to achieve anything is to just start, this also opens one up to mistakes, but we just need to realise that this is part of positive development
