You make a fine point but what I would say is that the script is different when you're an immigrant trying to get in because you can't even find the "door" to begin with.
I intend to. I'll just need to study the land, see what people are talking about and find a way to connect to them. I've been told that I can be very persuasive, night as well earn a living from it

The world needs more engineers. That has a future. Marketing might end up with the machines.
Well, that's true but the machines are a threat but there will always be clients that want something with a soul and that's where I'll step in.
Just get your foot in the door and start working as a bottom of the rung salesman.
Phone sales, door to door, some sort of entry level position like that.

If you're a good salesman, you'd be able to use your engineering degree as leverage to get that foot in the door 😉.

If you do well, you'll move up and have the experience required to get a better role.
But you can waste so much time getting sales qualifications that ultimately mean nothing.
