Project Blank has been in the works for a while and @khaleelkazi has teased the Leo community many times about the "soon level" of the project. After months of waiting, our patience has finally paid off as we will be getting the first iteration of it.
After months of waiting, Khal finally spill the beans about what to expect from the short content part of Leofinance. From what I deduce. the initial phase of the development will, as expected, be something like a testing phase using already existing infrastructure on Leofinance.
For what it's worth, I'm glad we can stop referring to it as project blank and attach a real name to it. However, while "threads" does sound better, it is still a placeholder name for the application.
I reckon a new name will be needed for the project in the long run and I assure you, that is not a simple thing to do. Picking a name for a project is a very important part of the development of the said project because that name sticks with it.
The name of the project has to reverberate through the ages and be unique enough to reflect what the application was created to do. Sometimes, the name doesn't necessarily even have to be connected to what the application does but in some way, it should also kind of do it.
All I'm saying is that picking a name for your project is a simple but complicated process that has to be handled both delicately and casually. It is a conundrum that requires both deep thought and zero thought.
What about Zingu?
There's something about the letter "z" that makes words that start from it stick. Perhaps it is because of the zing that comes from it but it zips straight into your senses and zaps your mind into a trance.
This is why I suggest that when the full application is created we name it Zingu. Obviously, after I publish this post, it is very possible that someone else could steal the name but that's a risk I'm willing to take.
From a simple google search, I found out that there's no running website that bears that exact name, so no need to worry about trademark issues Also, even if there is, we can just throw them a middle finger by telling them we're decentralised.
I like "Zingu" because this way, we can say we're posting "Zings" on chain. It has a nice ring to it, akin to the way we say "Tweets" without feeling weird.

All I'm saying is that Zingu has potential and should be considered as a name for the project. I reckon there will be more ideas as well but I hope this one will be considered for the future.

Quite a good branding idea, having something that sticks on our minds is an excellent tool for spreading the word with the speed of light. To go in line with your idea, I would go with Beans as seeds for any small post that could incept on the platform.

You already did more due diligence than the Hive creators when they picked the name 🤣 (There was already a mining company named hive).
Zinged sounds too much like singed which sounds like a mistaken conjugation of the past tense of sing (sang). I think that might confuse/annoy people users.
