Concerns about power dynamics, centralization, and abuse of downvotes have been raised by many most just get downvoted to zero rep and are silenced. The trending page on Hive often features the same faces, and the top earners' list rarely if ever changes. This lack of diversity is super concerning.
The community's size and the rules around Hive power are also points of contention. The inability to power down Hive and get support is concerning is Hive not a blog to earn? and the perceived abuse of power by the same members is troubling. The wealth gap within the community is stark, with some using their earnings to build real-life farms, while others struggle to make ends meet it's a bad look.
Despite these challenges, we need to address these issues collectively. The goal is to create a more inclusive, fair, and supportive environment for all Hive users. It's important to remember that the actions of a few shouldn't tarnish the potential of Hive for everyone.
