Crazy how 2024 is already over always looking back at things you often wonder where the time has gone which is also why it's important to build milestones and goals in life otherwise it will pass you by in a blur. At least that was part of a study done lol and honestly I think it holds true. Most of us go through our daily tasks and it's repetitive so when you only have a few memories of the year it can feel like it's passing by so fast. But if you have multiple milestones each day or each week that time seems to slow.
In any case I though now would be a good time to look at what I'm looking forward to on the hive blockchain come 2025!
3Speak
While personally I didn't use 3speak that much I was still interested in running nodes for rewards etc. However 3speak took a major beating in 2024 and still is struggling a bit. I know of a lot of people that do use the platform and on top of that shorts which was a big addition to the space primarily with InLeo.
My hopes are with the recent changes that the company and people behind 3speak start running ads on their videos and coming up with ways to reward content creators outside of their 7 day vote up period. That's one of the major things that are lacking from the platform at the moment. Content creators want to earn money and well people in general want to earn money. But currently the only way they can is via hive tokens from vote rewards from other people that own hive themselves. This needs to be adjusted to always reward content creators past the 7 day window and also to start seriously opening it up as a platform people want to use. Even if it was the size of Rumble it would make for a powerful application for hive. Let's hope we start seeing a move towards that direction.
Splinterlands
This one has huge potential once again. Now I'm not sure if we will ever see the highs we did in the last bull run but we for sure will see some highs. A big part for me in 2025 now will be land and how that starts to shape the game. I feel like with lots of trading between land owners which burns some DEC and also offers up passive income via fees to those providing liquidity then that should make for a rather large healthy ecosystem which in turn increases the value of SPS which would then attract more players again because the earnings are higher. At the end of the day that's what really attracts players to these type of games still is the ability to earn from them.
Hive $0.50
From what I've seen if hive can cross $0.50 and hold above it then I would start to consider that a healthy hive environment again. As you can see we greatly continue to struggle with that target. Seeing hive push above $0.50 and hold steady is going to be powerful for the ecosystem.
But what we ALL need to start doing is not voting for BS that simply wastes money and brings in less value then what they are asking for which is a vast majority of marketing from the DHF. InLeo I believe failed in their mission and as per the contract I do believe they are going to have to repay the DHF. But other projects like hivefest, rally car and value plan also need to be cut as they are negative pressure on the hive token price. If these where not running I would honestly think we would be above that $0.50 mark now.
Moar Games!
Yes, I love games and I think they plat an important part of the Hive ecosystem at the moment. Games like Splinterlands drive hoards of new users, transactions and value to the tokens.
There's a lot of promising projects that should be releasing in 2025 and with proper work could be a catalist to send a lot of new people to interact with the hive blockchain. If I game becomes popular I'd love to see something like Splinterlands did with their SPT token where it's supported to blog about the game.

I was asking myself what the numbers are for new users onboarded. I hope the money is there to make a clear full payment and not leave any bad taste in either party.
I want to see HIVE above 50 cents too. And I want SPS seing a price of 2-3,5 cents. Maybe even a vlimb to the 10 cent area? I would love to see that.
