The thing is it doesn't solve anything as no single person changes or makes the decisions. That's what people fail to understand. If it was that way it would be a dictatorship or socialism and well we are slowly heading towards those things mainly because a vast majority of people are lazy and want so called "free" handouts and that some how everyone is equal.
Even the ones who don't want free handouts want someone to do something about those noisy neighbors, and all the other stuff they wish they didn't have to deal with.
