Agreed that keychain does open up a attack vector on an account. But really anything is a possible attack vector. Even manually inputting your keys every time could be on a key logger etc.
Updates to keychain are good and I think if anything were to happen at least you have about 3 days to figure things out if your HBD is in savings and your Hive is staked. Would be nice to have a fully secure system but the human factor always kicks in.

An air-gapped wallet would have near zero vulnerability (at least as it pertains to hacked operating systems or an unsecure internet). I'm certain these will become much more common place going forward.
